The Reaching Communities Buildings programme is provided by the Big Lottery Fund.
Funding is available to replace or improve existing community buildings that will help people and communities most in need in the most deprived ‘Lower Super Output Areas’ in England. Funding is also available to support activities run from the building when it is complete.
Funding is available for building grants up to 2015 and there are currently no deadlines for applications. However, the programme is regularly reviewed and the Lottery encourage you to apply as soon as you are ready.
So that this funding makes the biggest difference to those most in need, they are targeting it at buildings or sites based in the most deprived ‘Lower Super Output Areas’ in England. To check whether your project is eligible use the eligibility checker on the website. Read the Reaching Community buildings eligibility guidance notes for more information.
The Lottery do, however, recognise that geographical boundaries may not give us the full story so if your project is ineligible, but based close to an eligible area, they may consider making an exception and inviting you to apply. Read the Reaching Communities buildings exceptions process for more information.
